Even on a leap year February always goes by quick but there were a plethora of quality DNB releases that kept our playlists pumpin’ as we wait for those Springtime anthems and warmer weather. These fire tracks were some of my favorites to heat up this month!
Overtune “Sonic Boom” [Neuroheadz]
Neuroheadz hits another one out of the park and right into space with Overtune’s “Sonic Boom”. Living up to the name enormous basslines await with enough energy to dissipate the dance as it smashes through the mix with a punchy pizzazz.
Ed Rush “Maasai Funk” [Blackout Music NL]
The second single from Ed Rush’s forthcoming ‘Light of the Void LP’ on Blackout Music emerged with its funky punch and is just a small taste of what’s to come on this mammoth album coming next month. “Massai Funk” melds the mood of a classic tune with a modern BOOM and we can’t wait to see what the entire album has to offer soon! HeadRead “The Rat” [C4C Limited]
Pulling this one from C4C’s ‘Flavours Vol. 3’ HeadRead stole the spotlight in my eyes even though every track on this compilation absolutely bangs with the highly desired tech step vibe. “The Rat” booms with big bass, crunchy kicks and a slick vocal stutter that flutters through the mix.
Dub Elements “Closer” [DEM Recordings]
Dub Elements delivers punchy, dancefloor vibes in this feel good hybrid tune and they have the coolest artwork to boot. DJ tested, dancefloor approved “Closer” will set the mood with its energetic groove.
