OCTANE’S JANUARY MEDLEY

2025 kicked off with a bang in the DNB scene with an influx of amazing tunes to consume. Here’s a few I thought were pretty cool to shake up the mood in your sets and playlists!

Melysma “War Business” [Yamatai Records]

Deep, dark vibes flow through this Jungle infused monster of a tune. Melysma’s “War Business” is a real face melter stacked with heart racing amens and massive bass to shatter the bins!

An in your face neurofunk banger brings aggressive militant beats to life amidst electrifying basslines surging through the composition. M85’s “Crank” supplies an all out assault to the dance floor when this beast is unleashed.

ESKR & Pish Posh “The Bass Station” [Paperfunk Recordings]

Wobbly basslines and crunchy rhythms take control of the mix from the dip into “The Bass Station” from ESKR & Pish Posh. A deep, dark aura engulfs the tune with the snippets of vocal sampling intensifying the mood as “The Bass Station” pulverizes the speakers in a massive beat down of bass!

TLDM & Minor Flux “What It Does” [Boomslang Recordings]

A slick combination of entrancing vocal hooks and earth shattering neurofunk vibes keeps “What It Does” stuck in your mind. The Lion’s Den Mastering and Minor Flux bring their unique styles together for  a stylish tune that breaks all the rules!

Phibes “Better Than You Thought” [Bassrush Records]

Playful melodies and heart racing rhythms pound powerfully smooth, intertwined with a triumphant vocal duet twisting together amidst a big, bouncy bassline in a composition riddled with that undeniable Phibes funk. Uplifting and energetic to get the dance floor on the move “Better Than You Thought” is a massive tune!
