EDC Las Vegas is one of the biggest festivals in the United States. It's a place where people all over the globe come to be under the electric sky. This past EDC was my 8 EDC, and this year did not disappoint. This year featured more drum and bass artists then the past years. I got to attend several sets of artists such as Subfocus, Dimension, and the upcoming Skelletyn. The lights, fireworks and overall vibe make EDC a place to and forget the stresses of life for 3 days. If you have never been I highly recommend going at least once to experience how it feels to be under the electric sky.
Every year I have gone to EDC I am amazed at how they transform a motor speedway into a world of lights, music and adventure. There are 8 main stages and several smaller stages, and art cars that all feature not only up and coming artists but some of the biggest names in the EDM scene. Kinetic field is the nain stage where the biggest names are usually booked and thats the stage where whatever theme of they year, this stage represents it. All genres of music are featured in this stage.
Cosmic meadow is the first stage you see when you walk in and most of your up and comers and more big names usually play this stage. I saw the group Worship(Subfocus, 1991, Dimension, and Culture shock) close out day 2 on this stage. The other stages are Basspod where most of the dubstep and drum and bass acts play, wastelands which is hardstyle, Neon Garden for the tech house and techno, Quantum Valley for trance and psytrance Circuit Grounds where acts like Rezz played and Stereobloom for basshouse. You will see big names on every stage. All the sub stages and art cars are decorated just as immaculately as the main stages. Downtown EDC has a wedding chapel where people can get married at the festival a cool tunnel called pixel forest and a bar that is a
'little" different then most. Words can not do justice to just how neat this place is. As if all of the above wasn't reason enough to go, theres a massive firework show every night that will put any 4th of July firework show to shame.

My group and I camp when we go to avoid the traffic going back to the strip. We The parking lot of the motor speedway is transformed into a mini paradise where theres goat yoga, games, and pool parties. We stayed in the infamous Camp OG where all the OG ravers who are friends with Pasqual stay. They were very welcoming, and made us feel very welcome. I got to play a drum and bass set in the camp with a massive sound syatem. Drum and bass is a favorite among the OG'S. On top of all that just the overall vibe of evryone having a good time and hanging out makes for an amazing experience.
The overall experience of this festival is one for the books. After a year of work, and stress it is a good place to go reset. Having 3 days where the outside world does not exist is a necessary reset for me every year. It is a place where music brings people together from all walks of life, and offers a place to be authentically who you are. EDC is an experience someone should have at least once in their life cause my words can not to the festival justice, its an experience that will have to speak for its self
Cheers,
